Week of April 1, 2019

Happy Friday, ya'll!  Are you ready for your new MacBooks?  YAY!  Please be on time to help the technology department be efficient.  They will be at the tables in the media center by the atrium.  I hope you have something special planned for the weekend and take time for some work-life balance.  It has brought me much joy being in classrooms this week and spending time with you and the children.  Keep up the engaging lesson design!

DID YOU KNOW:
  • you can create a Digital Breakout using Apple Apps?  Check out Kasey's blog post that takes you through the workflow to design a digital breakout using iWork files.

BALLPARK NIGHT

Please share this information with your parents Tickets for CISD Night at the Ballpark on, April 3, are now on sale.  To sit in the Lee section, click here to order your tickets by April 1.  If you have a learner going on the field: please wear a TX Ranger or Lee Spirit Shirt.  We will start meeting on the ramp inside the 3rd base gate at 6:00.  You must arrive by 6:15 or forfeit your learner's chance to go on the field.  (Look for the Principals and the Lee Banner to line up.)  Parents can wait on the ramp until we walk down to the tunnel, or go to the stands to take pictures, but cannot walk on the field with us.  The best place to retrieve their child after they are on the field is the entrance to the tunnel.

EOY SUMMATIVE SIGN UPS
Please make sure you signed up for your EOY Summative Conference here.  Hourly employees, educators should be signed up, so feel free to sign up in any open spots remaining, regardless of color, at this time.  The form will lock on 3:00 pm on Monday, April 1, so all staff member need to sign up by then.  If you are not signed up we will assign you a time.

SPRING CONFERENCES
Please start getting your Spring conferences scheduled.

BABY SHOWERS
It is so exciting to welcome all the Blue House babies.  We will start staff meeting in the lounge and then relocate to Brooklyn and Jessie's space for the remainder of the meeting.

DISCIPLINE THAT RESTORES
As the end of year approaches we want to send a reminder.  When you fill out a discipline referral for a learner, please put it in LA's or CK's box.  We will get the learner at our first availability.  Please do not send or walk learners down to the office with their referral.  Learners should complete one of these reflection sheets when you write the referral so that we can review it when we come get them. These reflection sheets support our Discipline that Restores work and can also be found in our RJL Schoology Course.
