SPRING CONFERENCES
If your house is hosting Spring learner-led conferences together at the same time during the school day (great idea by the way) please gather the following data in a Google Form so that the office can have guest tags pre-printed for the event: First and Last Name, Grade, and House. This will ensure they get to your spaces as quickly as possible.  Don't forget to share your form with Vanessa, Sri and Abeer.

ESL STRATEGY OF THE WEEK
Provide opportunities for free write time. This helps lower the affective filter when EBs approach writing in English, especially those that may have some anxiety around writing specifically. If you have an EB who is Beginning or Intermediate, allow some of their writing to include pictures or copying words. This is still helping them to grow in their English proficiency.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILEE
Hello! My name is Rachael Curran. My husband and I are relocating to the Dallas area this summer. I have taught first grade in Katy, Texas for the past 7 years, and I am excited to continue sharing my passion with the first graders at Lee! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading. We have a miniature schnauzer named Remi who keeps us very busy! I look forward to meeting the staff and families at Lee, and I am excited to be part of the fami”lee”!
