  • tonight is Rodeo Goat Night from 4PM-10PM?  All proceeds support our PTO.
  • next Tuesday will be Ian's last day? Please wish him well.  He has taken great care of us during his stay here.
  • Kindergarten enrollment begins this week?  If you have FamiLEEs with siblings that will be kindergarteners next year, please share this information.
  • we will host an optional flex learning opportunity on Wednesday.  If you need time/help/support to work on your Bulb for your end of year Summative, we are providing this time for you.
  • it is a new 9 weeks so please review Digital Citizenship and your class Respect Agreements?  Remember that there should be 4-5 bullets in each quadrant of your Respect Agreement.

  • there is a blog resource for 12 ways to give feedback?  (Thanks Leigh Ann)

SUMMATIVES
Summative Season is approaching!  Here is a link to this year's EOY summative times.  Please sign up for a time that works for you.  All you need to have ready is your completed Bulb that is made public for Leigh Ann, Chantel, and Angel.  There will be an optional flex time after school on Wednesday, March 29, if you need help/support/time to work on your Bulb.  On your day, meet us in the large conference room with your MacBook ready to AirPlay to the tv.  We have 30 minutes with each of you and can't wait for individual time to discuss the year and moving forward into 2023-2024.

ESL STRATEGY OF THE WEEK
Modify vocabulary instruction for EBs. English language learners require direct instruction of new vocabulary. Teachers should also provide practice in pronouncing new words. ELLs need much more exposure to new terms, words, idioms, and phrases than do English fluent peers. Teachers need to tie new vocabulary to prior learning and use visuals to reinforce meaning. Content area teachers should teach new vocabulary words that occur in the text as well as those related to the subject matter. Word wall should be used at all grade levels.
