We hope you are super excited to learn that we will not lose our Bad Weather Days. THREE CHEERS to CISD to working around this. We will have the lounge set up with surge protectors for your crock pots of soup tomorrow and an EASY craft is ready for you. We love and appreciate you SO MUCH! I have a guest Principal on Monday morning, so we look forward to being in classroom spaces.
- we have excuse notes from parents for days their students are marked present? Please be careful to make sure you are marking attendance accurately. It breaks down trust with our parents and the school.
Notability News
Cell Phones, 📱as we know them today, have replaced so many standalone devices. Calculators, 🧮 GPS, 📍and our alarm clocks ⏰are right there in our pocket.
📝Notability has made changes that have the potential to replace many of your informal paper needs. It literally can take weight off your back by replacing your clipboards, spirals, day planners, meal planners, or even in some cases play books!
COACH'S CORNER
There is so much that we (Leigh Ann, May, Brittany, Hannah and I) have learned at TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association). I will share something super simple that you may want to try out with one learner, small group or your class.
It allows you to create a book using pictures (from camera/photos or their library), add text and record the reading. It might be a fun way to celebrate writing at the end of a unit.

Connecting with Students
A culturally responsive teacher is aware of the behaviors she elicits and seeks ways to include all children to feel comfortable learning in their environment. Here are things to consider when engaging with them:
Inclusive Eyes: Look at all of your students when talking to the group.
Feedback: Offer the same amount of constructive feedback to everyone.
Open-Ended Questions: Be open to different student points of view to learn their perspectives.
Promoting Response: Give everyone a chance to respond.
Communication Styles: Notice different cultural styles in your classroom (e.g., eye contact, volume).
