What a great couple of weeks off. I got to attend the TEPSA Conference with Angel this summer and spent all summer with with family. I'm super excited for #rjlyear12 and that YOU are part of our FamiLEE.
It has been a busy week back with our whole Admin Team together. We have been working behind the scenes to set up the 2025-2026 school year. Class lists are being generated, residencies are being verified, learners are being enrolled. We had our Administrator's Academy last week and PLC training this week, so there is a great deal of information to share from CISD. Amy Searight is back home and serving as our Principal's Secretary this year. She has enrolled over 60 new learners to Lee! Tara took a promotion at the high school and will be able to put into practice all the financial skills she learned at Lee. Our Leadership Team met all day yesterday and-WOW! These gals are super committed to bringing our guiding purpose to life, and we value this group of leaders! "Some" of them also have some great detective skills. Our new hires are learning all things Coppell ISD and will have a crash course with CK tomorrow afternoon. All this to say... we are ready for an incredible year... so LET'S GO! GAME ON!

DID YOU KNOW:
- S'more communication from CK was sent out to parents about "all things beginning of the year?" Here is the link if you want to include it in your introduction email to parents. Content is continually added and updated giving parents ONE PLACE TO GO.
- technology is SPICY and sending out emails that entice you to click on them so you have to take technology training? DON'T FALL FOR THEIR SILLY GAMES. I do not need you to send me money or meet with me. We don't need your credit card info. Just beware... especially new Spurs- this is the season for those phishing scams.
WELCOME TO OUR FAMILEE
We are so excited to welcome our new hires to Lee Elementary. Monica will be teaching in Y2, Lisa will be in P3, Alison is our Art Designer, Liliana is our LAS, and Hanna is in G5, Jamie is our SPED Designer, and Virginie is in Y4. We cannot wait to see how they leave their mark in our school and with our Spurs. We are still interviewing two paraprofessionals, so hopefully they are on board soon.
Hi, I’m Monica Martinez and I’m thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade this school year! I look forward to creating learning experiences that are fun and meaningful for our students. This summer, you’ll find me reading by the pool, baking, and spending time with family and friends! I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone, so if you’re around this summer let’s get together! 😊
I’m Lisa Gonzalez and so happy to be joining the team at Richard J. Lee Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher! Born and raised in Dallas. Graduated with my bachelor’s from UTD and my master’s from TWU. This will be my 10th year in teaching. I recently got married and we moved into our new place, so it’s been an exciting year so far! I’m looking forward to a great school year and getting to know all of you!
Alison Adame (pronounced “ah-DAH-may”) has been teaching art for nearly 20 years. She’s taught private lessons, summer camps, outreach at the Dallas Museum of Art, one year in private school, and 16 years in public elementary schools. She received her BFA in Studio Art from UT Austin, where her focus was on drawing and painting. In her classroom, playfulness and imagination are encouraged! Her interests include plants, gardening, thrifting, and adoring the beautiful arts, crafts, and culture of Mexico. Alison has a large and loving family with her husband Nathan and their four sweet and creative kiddos.
Liliana came to the United States from Colombia 27 years ago to the bay area. I lived there for 2 years and then jobs moved us to Texas and have proudly called Coppell, Texas, home ever since. My children were born and raised here, and I’ve had the privilege of being part of this community both personally and professionally. With 18 years of experience in education—13 of those in Coppell ISD—I am currently in my 4th year serving as a Language Acquisition Specialist (LAS). I am passionate about supporting both students and teachers, and I find great joy in helping learners grow in their language skills and confidence. Outside of school, I enjoy practicing Bikram yoga, reading and traveling whenever I get the opportunity.

Hi! My name is Hanna. I grew up in small town USA, graduated from Texas Tech back in 2015 and have moved around a lot since then. I am truly a country girl at heart, but finally feel like this is where I belong. I have three older brothers who made me tough and a huge, crazy family that made me adaptive and resilient. They mean everything to me as well as my friends, my students and my little dog Otis. I love to travel and explore new places, swim, garden, fish, beach, create art and play all the sports. Adrenaline rush activities like bungee jumping, paragliding, scuba diving and roller coasters are my absolute favorite things to do when I get the chance. However, I also like kicking back and watching a quality movie or series. This will officially be my 8th year of teaching, but I have been working with students well beyond that. I value helping others and engaging in environments that foster positive changes and growth. I am ecstatic for this new journey ahead & the opportunity of working at Lee Elementary!!
I'm Jamie Fields, a loud & proud Aggie Mom '22, who likes to read and craft. I've been in education for 13 years, and Special Education is my JAM! I'm easy to talk to, and my feelings don't get hurt easily. If I don't have the answer, I will give it my all to get the answer. I'm excited to be a Lee Spur and I think it's going to be an amazing school year.

I am thrilled to be joining you all! I’ve lived and loved life on 3 continents, bringing a multicultural lens to everything I do—and as a former ESL learner, I truly value the power of language and connection. I’ve been teaching for over 10 years and love watching kids light up when they learn something new. Outside of school, I’m all about running, yoga, a well-crafted cappuccino, and getting lost in a good book. I’ve got two amazing kids in their 20s who went through Coppell ISD. Can’t wait to learn and laugh alongside this awesome Lee team! Game on! 💛
About me:

WHAT IS HAPPENING THE WEEK WE COME BACK?
For those of you that like to plan, like me, here is an outline for our back to school days. If you are not sure where to be, and when to be places, please ask. Bring your charged technology each day. Please know our plans are subject to change as more information comes in from CISD. We also were SUPER INTENTIONAL to give you as much time as we could in your houses to be able to be ready for the first day, but be aware have required content to deliver from CISD and one less campus day to share it so you will have to be creative as grade levels. We also linked presentations for those who like to process content ahead of time. Special Education, Specials, and paraprofessionals, if you get different information than listed on my outline from your department heads, please follow their directions.
RJL ROADSHOW
We can't wait to see you on our first day back. We will kick our week off with our annual bus tour through our neighborhoods. Dress is casual as we will be hopping on and off of the charted bus. There is a new route to see all neighborhoods and one less stop this year. Please bring signs, balloons, and your school spirit- it will be loads of fun! We will provide you with lunch when we return to campus. There will be sandwiches, salads, chips and drinks for you to enjoy.
