I hope you felt the LOVE from our PTO and families this week. Happy Mother's Day to all of you. Whether you have children of your own, or not, you mother the children in our school. (Brian, Curtis, and Ed- we got you next month!!) Thank you for all you do for our children and the love you provide them each and every day they are at school. Please take care of yourself. This time of the year is stressful with deadlines and tasks. YOU GOT THIS! Please ask for help if you need some.
DID YOU KNOW:
- Per Dr. Brooks, please have NWEA MAP Reports sent to families no later than Tuesday, May 21st. If you run reports before 5/17 the district mean will not show up. Please do not print color copies of these. Samira will send color copies home to ALL Spurs for us through Parent Square on the 21st.
- that only positive comments are expected on report cards? Please start working on your report card comments. Make sure you read Angel's email about report cards for learners who withdraw early.
- we will do our best to check everyone out on Thursday or Friday the last week of school? You should have a calendar invite for when we will go through Inventory Lists and End of Year Checklists. Our hope is ALL can leave around 1:00 or 1:15 after all learners are safely dismissed.
TO DO
- EOY Checklist- we are trusting you to execute what is expected to be completed on the lists. Please read them carefully and complete ALL tasks before school, after school, during your conference time, or during Team Time. Please do not work on this while you should be teaching. Learning should happen until the last day at Lee.
- Furniture Inventory- remember extra furniture in your house may have taken a field trip to a neighboring house. Before you take extras to the flex space, check with your neighbors. It is wise to complete the furniture inventory on the LAST day of school.
- T-shirt update. We know that shirt sizes change during the year. So that we get you a shirt that fits the way you want it to, please fill out this form.
KINDERGARTEN PROJECT OPEN FOR CAMPUS PARTICIPATION
Information about this new event and order forms were placed in your mailboxes. We will send reminder slips on Monday, May 13. Money raised from this event will go towards Kindergarten adopting animals from the Dallas Zoo. Thank you for your support.
PTO MEETING COMING UP ON MAY 14TH
Our last Virtual PTO meeting of the school year is coming up on Tuesday May 14th at 6pm. Please join us as we wrap up all the exciting things that happened this school year and introduce you to your PTO Board for the 2024-2025 school year. It is that time where you need to start inventorying and organizing your storage closets. Please make this a team effort and not left to your Leadership person. HINT: START NOW!! Here is the Shared Curriculum List. Please save to Noteability and mark up for us. We will have you share your house inventory before the last day of school.
END OF YEAR UPDATES AND TASKS
Team time meetings will continue through May 5. Since you will not be meeting the last cycle of Team Time, please use this time to inventory closets, get done with assessments, work on report card comments, pull staples out of walls ;) and all other end of year tasks. Thank you to our wonderful Specials Team for continuing to take learners during this time.
Here is the EOY Checklist. Please make a copy on your iPad and check off items when you complete them. We will ask you to email your completed checklists on the last week of school. The link is live for your Furniture Inventory and you may want to wait until the last week of school to complete that portion as a House. Please do not work on EOY tasks during teaching time.
