Tomorrow will be an awesome day of learning. A friendly reminder that you are an ambassador of Lee Elementary, so please show everyone your growth mindset. There is still room in our DIY stress ball session if you want to join in!!! Thank you to all of our Spurs that are presenting tomorrow- you make our school look SO GOOD! ENJOY the three day weekend! I hope you and your family enjoy special time together.

REMINDERS FOR FRIDAY PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Paraprofessionals Clocking In/Out 
  • Paraprofessionals are asked to clock in and out on February 16th, following their usual school day routine. 
  • Please ensure that you accumulate 8 hours of work time, including at least a 30-minute lunch break. You have the flexibility to use comp hours, arrive on campus before the professional learning day begins, or stay after the PL day concludes to fulfill the total 8-hour requirement.

      • (C-Store) Door

All CISD Staff

  • Entering CHS: Doors will be unlocked for all staff starting at 7:15am.
  • Lunch: Lunch is on your own. Staff can stay and use the tables in the CHS cafeteria or leave campus to eat.
  • Sign-Up Deadline: The deadline to sign up for the sessions is Wednesday night. We will be printing sign-in sheets on Thursday morning, so please ensure you've signed up by then.
  • Priority Seating: Priority seating will be given to those who have signed up in advance.
  • Walk-Ins: The sessions will open to walk-ins five minutes before the start time, provided there are available seats.
  • Share Photos: Please share photos from your learning via this Wakelet link. 
  • Session Cancellations: Please note that sessions may be canceled based on sign-ups. Be prepared to choose another session if necessary.
  • Devices: Please bring your charged MacBook and iPad and Apple Pencil.
  • Carpooling: If possible, consider carpooling to the venue to save on parking.
  • Attire: Dress comfortably for a day of active learning.
  • Room Numbers: Remember to check the room numbers on the Unified Talent app for your assigned sessions.
  • Locations: Use the following CHS Map to locate the rooms for your sessions. If you need a comfort room, they are labeled on the map.
  • Download the Journal: Don’t forget to download the journal for the sessions if you haven't already. There is a Keynote, Notability or Printable version available.

Please encourage learners to dress up and participate in this district initiative on Tuesday.

PTO MEETING TUESDAY
Save the date for our next Virtual PTO meeting coming up on Tuesday February 20 at 6pm. Our PTO team, along with RJL staff, will be sharing some information regarding the upcoming Color Run as well as other important updates! So mark your calendars and be sure to join us for this one. The Zoom link will be emailed home that day. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
FLEX LEARNING WEDNESDAY
Have you ever wondered what your student is learning and experiencing daily when they leave for Dyslexia Therapy? Come observe and participate in a Dyslexia lesson to understand through your student's eyes what they experience daily in MLI. You will also leave with tips for accommodations and strategies to use with students who have been identified with Dyslexia.  Session will take place in Laura's space.

What a busy week!  Thank you for hosting CMSW readers and for all the hard work with MAP, MClass, STAAR Field Test and MORE!  You all make it look easy and we know it is not!  There is a LOT going on in the building on Friday (tomorrow) so please read carefully, below.  We love and appreciate you SO MUCH!  Thanks in advance for your participation in Football Fiesta Friday tomorrow!


DID YOU KNOW:
  • we have members from the CISD School Board visiting us, tomorrow, Friday February 9?  They will be here between 9:00 and 10:00 so please be intentional with your instruction during this time and have your spaces picked up.  If you are doing something in Science, please let me know so we can do our best to stop by.  We will be coming through the building with student leaders.
  • CHS is hosting a Moon Party on February 21?    

FAIRY TALE BALL
The Fairy Tale Ball for 1st Grade is Friday (tomorrow)!  Our first graders will participate in a school-wide parade at 2:40 (starting in the cafeteria). Please line the halls at 2:35 to cheer them on as they make one lap around the school.  Thank you to Amber and Linda for helping with the dance and to Ed and Curtis for sharing their gym. First grade team, we thank you, too, for all of your preparations and can't wait to see your adorable characters in the parade.  They are going to be precious!


FABULOUS FRIDAYS IN FEBRUARY
Congrats to last week's five Chickfila gift card winners.  We hope you had FUN with our frog hunt.  I am cracking up that more keep appearing in my office and mailbox.  🐸



FOOTBALL FIESTA FRIDAY

VALENTINES DAY
Wednesday is going to be a fun-filled day with a school wide movie in the gym at 2:00 and Valentine Parties at the end of the day.  Do you have any learners who need valentines?  Please get with Jessica and Angela.  The day's schedule is below and is also on our Master Schedule document




FRIDAY PL DAY
  • Overview:  The day will begin with the first session starting at 8:00 am. Please give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to your first session. We will end our day after session 4 at 3:30 pm.
  • Parking: Although the parking lot seems large at CHS, we do recommend that you coordinate with other staff members from our campus to carpool.
  • Lunch on Your Own: Enjoy the flexibility to choose where and what you'd like to eat.
  • Comfy Clothes: Dress comfortably for a day of active learning.
  • What to Bring: Fully charged Mac, iPad, and Apple Pencil
  • Prepare Ahead: Make sure you have the Unified Talent (Power School) App downloaded, before February 16, to stay updated with session and location changes.

NO SCHOOL
Although we have professional learning on Friday, please communicate to learners and parents that they do not have school on Friday and Monday.  Enjoy your Monday off!
