What a great couple of weeks off. I spent a week in Jamaica as my brother in law got married. It was so nice to travel and spend time away. I have been back on contract since last week and getting LOTS done behind the scenes. I'm super excited for #rjlyear9 and that YOU are part of our FamiLEE. Our Leadership Team will be meeting on August 3 and 4, so if there is anything you want to them to address, please reach out. These gals are super committed to bringing our guiding purpose to life, and we value this group of leaders! The building is currently under construction. The front entrance is inaccessible, but entry can happen through the back doors. For those of you wanting to come up for any reason, you are welcome M-Th from 8:00-3:00. Keep in mind that our building is not completely cleaned, yet. I hope you will pop by the office to say HI when you are here. It's nice to have a minute with each of you to catch up.
Our theme this year is "Adventure" and we are excited to weave this theme through our guiding purpose.

- there is a "one stop shop" to all things related to benefits in CISD? Here is a link to bookmark when you need it. Remember to re-enroll if you are a returning employee and that new hires have 31 days from your date of hire to complete signing up for your benefits.
- Coppell ISD sent out the compliance training for this year? It is due on August 21. If you choose to do this online training during your summer time, then time the district is giving you during the week of August 8 to complete this will be time to work in your classroom. Either way, you will get flex time if you complete it by the deadline. Do what works best for YOU. We are so lucky to have a district that gives us choice to do what works best for each of us.
- there is a preliminary schedule for the welcome back week from CISD? I will get you more detailed information after our Principal's Academy next week.
- that prices for breakfast will be $1.75 and lunch will be $3.00 this year? This is an increase you should be aware of. There will be no more free breakfast and lunch for all. Families will have to apply for free and reduced meals for the the upcoming school year.
- that Leigh Ann may be out for a little while? She had her appendix removed this weekend. Please send prayers for a speedy recovery.
- Check out our Faculty Website. You will want to bookmark this site as it is a one stop shop that has all you need to know about Lee Elementary and MORE!
- Connect with your House and Grade leads. You can find their names on this staffing list and email them. Leads have a * by their name. I know they will want to get your phone number to share with teammates.
- Fill out this form so we can learn all about your favorites. It also helps us with ordering the proper size for your school shirt for the school year.
- Review the RJL Campus Handbook so you don't have to worry about it when school is in session. We request you read this by August 31. New/changed items are highlighted in yellow. Any new district policies that are in the 2022-2023 CISD Employee Handbook supersede our campus handbook. We do not have access to the new handbook yet, so they are not reflected in our campus one.
