Week of February 2, 202

Well… that was an unexpected bit of time off! I hope the forced rest was welcomed and that you were able to spend time doing things that matter most to you. With four days away, there are several adjustments ahead, so thank you in advance for your flexibility and kindness. I worked with our Leadership Team to gather input and make decisions about upcoming events.  We've got this!

DID YOU KNOW:
  • Friday, tomorrow, is Day 4 in the schedule rotation?  The staff calendar is updated for a week and will be fully updated soon.  The campus website calendar will be updated afterwards.
  • your first grade housemates may need your patience as they try to get their mClass assessments done by the deadline?  They missed 4 testing days this week.
  • we will restart MAP testing next week? Thanks for your feedback, Leadership Team.
  • after talking with our campus Leadership Team, we will host the Great Kindness Challenge Week  in its entirety, next week?  We did switch the 100th day activities and sock day because Wednesday is now the 100th day of school.  (see schedule below).
  • our FamiLEE Game Night is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 4?  Thanks for the idea from Leadership that we already are here late that day rather than staying another night after school.
  • the SLO due date is changed to Friday, February 6, now?

Week of January 26, 2026

Thank you for your work in your design time.  I love that we have place holders for your learner-led conferences the last week of school.  I can't wait to see your banners looking beautiful hanging through our school after Monday's parade!  Store them somewhere SAFE so that custodians don't accidentally throw them away.  I’ll be off tomorrow, but please know I am closely monitoring CISD communication regarding the weather. On Friday, please leave as soon as learners are safely dismissed.  Be sure to take home anything you might need in the event of a possible day off on Monday. Also, from experience… if there is anything on the floor that could be damaged by water, please place it on tables or counters. IYKYK. CISD will continue to monitor road conditions on Sunday afternoon and will communicate any decisions regarding school closures or delays via text, email, and social media.  Stay tuned and stay SAFE!
