I hope you enjoy the long weekend and have a chance to rest, recharge, and spend time doing what fills you up. You deserve it! I also want to take a moment to share how much I appreciate each of you. The care, consistency, and heart you bring to our learners every single day is visible and does not go unnoticed.

Coppell ISD families — Please join us for the 14th Annual CEF Run to Fund coming up on Saturday, May 2, at Andy Brown East!
All proceeds support innovative programs and teacher resources across CISD—and here’s the extra incentive:
👉 $2 from every registration goes directly to the PE department at the CISD school you select!
Choose how you want to participate:
• 5K Run
• 1-Mile Family Fun Run
• Sleep-In & Support option
👉 Register here: coppellisdef.org/run-to-fund/
Let’s show up, support our schools, and have some fun doing it!
- 💬 Philosophical Chairs — Students take a side on a content-based statement and defend it. They can switch sides if a peer convinces them. Great for science, social studies, and math reasoning.
- 🗺️ Four Corners — Post answer choices around the room. Students move to their answer and explain their reasoning to a partner before sharing out.
- 🪑 Socratic Seminar (lite) — Students discuss a complex passage or scenario in a circle. Your job is mostly to listen, and you'll be surprised what surfaces!
LESSON IN LEADERSHIP:
Be positive and enjoy life. Keep everything in perspective and focus on the good.
