Thank you for a fun Staff Holiday Party. Linda, we’re grateful for all the planning and organization that made it run so smoothly. Social Spurs, we appreciate the tasty appetizers and pizzas you sponsored. And for those who joined the White Elephant game… that white elephant will definitely make a return next year! Enjoy the extra time together today.  Can't wait to see our volunteers at Valley Ranch Baptist Church on Saturday, and cheers to the best final week of school in 2025!

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Enjoy going to the Admin Bldg. tomorrow and the extra gift of time. Please follow this adjusted schedule and sub schedule.  I ask that you have log in info and a non-Disney movie ready for indoor recess for the subs.  Also, please leave directions for the subs.  While I want you to enjoy time off campus, please be mindful to be back on time to get your learners from the cafeteria or specials.  Below are the schedules for the day.

SPIRIT RALLY

SPIRIT RALLY/WINTER PARTY SCHEDULE

Please follow this schedule for Thursday.  This is a Day 0 on the calendar, so all learners go to the gym for Specials. Parents will be coming in to set up from 1:00-2:00 while we are in Spirit Rally in the gym.  Please have all learners packed up before the Spirit Rally so that you can help with clean up and dismiss after the party.  PTO should be bringing their own supplies. Purple, please take 30 minutes for your lunch, then come straight to the gym from the cafe. We will start once you all are seated.

PANORAMA SURVEY

The district Panorama survey window is now open.  Grades 3-5, please build 30 minutes of time into your schedule to complete the survey WITH your learners. Learners will need help with you explaining what words mean in elementary language so please go question by question as a class.  Please only complete the survey with students from the link emailed to you from CK on 11/16.

MOY SLO CHECK-IN EMAIL FROM CISD

As we approach the midpoint of the Student Learning Objective (SLO) process, all TIA- eligible staff must complete the Student Growth Check-In Form in PowerSchool Perform by January 30th. 

To support successful and accurate MOY and EOY SLO submissions, it’s important that each educator carefully completes the steps outlined below. We encountered several data inconsistencies this year that required correction, and following these steps with fidelity is vital to maintaining the accuracy and credibility of our local designation system.

1. Collect, Score, and Document Evidence
• You should have at least 3 of the required 5 pieces of evidence collected, scored, and recorded on your Student Growth Tracker.
• Each artifact must be scored using your Targeted Skill Profile (TSP) rubric.
2. Review Your Growth Tracker
• Ensure your growth tracker is up-to-date.
• View a sample growth tracker here.
• Review a scoring example on the sample growth tracker here.
• 0 or 1 piece of evidence meeting/exceeding growth → Off Track
• 1 or 2 pieces of evidence meeting/exceeding growth → On Track
• 3 pieces of evidence meeting/exceeding growth → Ahead
• Mark each student as ahead, on, or off target using TEA’s scoring guidance.
3. Complete the Student Growth Check-In Form
• Use this tutorial to complete and submit the Student Growth Check-In form in PowerSchool Perform.
• Prepare to meet with your appraiser to discuss MOY SLO progress.
• Student Growth Check-In Form submissions are due no later than January 30th.
4. Access Additional Resources
• Remember that additional resources—including templates, examples, and phase-specific guidance—are available in the CISD TIA One-Stop Shop, located in SSO under “Coppell ISD – Teacher Incentive Allotment.”

CISD COMPLAINCE COURSE

As shared in the CISD Compliance Course, campus staff will complete required compliance modules throughout the year in place of our former Counselor Conversations.

December’s compliance, Substance Abuse, is now available in PowerSchool PL.

✅ What You Need to Know:

• Register for “Substance Abuse: CISD Compliance 25–26” in PowerSchool PL [Registration Link].
• This course and other required 25-26 compliance requirements can be found in your compliance playlist too!
• Complete the module in Schoology at your own pace.
• Credit will appear in PowerSchool PL after an overnight sync.
• This course must be completed by January 31, 2026.
• Use the interactive tutorial for quick, step-by-step instructions.

As we approach winter break, it’s the perfect time to plan for a smooth return in January. Reviewing classroom procedures and expectations after a long break is essential for resetting routines and creating a positive learning environment. Here are a few quick ideas to get you started:
