Week of February 23, 2026

What a week!  Monday off, Book Fair all week, and a Fairy Tale Ball on Friday.  I think we can agree... it was a busy short week.  I hope you have an incredible weekend.  Do all the things that bring you joy!

DID YOU KNOW:
  • Friday, Chantel has a Principal for 1/2 the day?  We will be coming by to see each of you.
  • that Laura is returning on Monday?  We are so grateful to have had Abeer filling in for most of the time Laura has been healing! Abeer is constantly coming through in a "clutch" and will help Laura on Monday as she gets back in the swing of things.
  • that Reagan will be recognized at Monday night's Board Meeting?  If you plan on supporting Reagan, please join us in the lobby of the Admin Bldg. at 5:30 PM.
  • Our OT intern, Alyssa, has completed creating a guidebook for Supporting Meaningful Participation Across Elementary School Environments for Learners with Physical and Developmental Disabilities?  Take a look! She will be asking for feedback.

FAIRY TALE BALL AND PARADE
Please help 1st grade celebrate the end of our fairy tale unit with a parade! Pack up beforehand (leave backpacks in classrooms) and line both sides of the hallways at 2:40. It will be helpful to leave the front entrance/library open for parent guests.

To ensure the entire route is lined with an audience, please sit in the following areas

  • Red & Yellow: house hallways
  • Purple: front office through Harmon's music/garden space
  • Blue: gym doors up cafeteria ramp towards Quezada's room
  • Green: bottom of stairs through cafeteria towards gym/ramp

We've asked the princes/princesses to smile & wave "royally" - please remind your class they can wave or clap but please do not high five or reach out to the kids. We'll walk one loop ðŸ‘‘

FABULOUS FRIDAYS IN FEBRUARY
You each have a special delivery for tomorrow's game in your teacher mailbox, so go get your game gear as soon as you arrive.  YOU WILL NEED IT!  The game starts at 7:10.  Let's Go! Game On Spurs!

TELPAS TESTING
Thank you for all your support in helping make Monday and Tuesday smooth and efficient TELPAS testing days for our learners.
Please remember to review the TELPAS Testing Schedule 2026 for all testing-related information. Taking a few moments to read the Morning Schedule for Testers/Non-Testers tab will help ensure our morning runs smoothly and that we start the day strong.
Important: An update was pushed to learners’ iPads Tuesday night. Please confirm that the update is fully completed before attempting to begin testing.
